Make sure you bring photo identification with you, such as your passport or driver’s license, when traveling abroad for passports.

If you’re traveling within North America, your driver’s license will do just fine as identification. However, if you plan on leaving the continent, it’s best to have your passport on hand. Many countries will not let you enter without a valid passport. 

It’s also a good idea to carry a photocopy of your passport with you, just in case you lose it or it gets stolen. That way, you can still get back into the country if needed.
